雅思虽然题型众多。所考的无非是快速获取主旨，搜索信息。所以考的还是比较全面，既有快速阅读，又有精读。快速读是需要练习的，需要注意节奏和章法。这里介绍两种方法，一种是skimming，一种是cluster reading。而快速读的时候，一些状语、从句、修饰词都可以忽视掉。所以快速读的时候，一篇1000字的文章只需读10句左右就可以窥得文章全貌了。精读则需要对英文语法的理解，当然还有单词的记忆。对语法来说，还是比较容易掌握的。知道了句子里的修饰词、状语、从句，就能够抽取句子的主干。
单词的记忆方法只能因人而异。因为雅思考同义词比较多，所以最好翻阅英英词典，以英文记英文。另外注意单词的结构。而猜单词，则需要语感和观察思考的能力。这一点，也是非常重要的。因此，准备雅思，除了做题之外，养精蓄锐里比较重要的一点就是对英文的熟悉。所以，东佳英语建议各位考生，每天应该接触相当字数的英文文章。
