互补词即“关系反义词”（relational opposites），指一个词在一个语义场范围里与其它相关的词形成对照，互为补充。如：红色、蓝色、白色、黑色、绿色、棕色、紫色等等构成以表示颜色的语义场。如果某种东西是绿色的，它就不是红色的、不是蓝色的、不是棕色的、不是白色的等等；如果它不是绿色的，那么它可能是红色的、蓝色的、棕色的、白色的，等等。如果political、economical、cultural、military、commercial、financial affairs可以构成一个关于国家事务的语义场，那么non-commercial affairs非商业事务指的就是political affairs、economical affairs、cultural affairs、military affairs、financial affairs中的一种。non-biological（非生物学的）与其它学科medical、physical、chemical、mathematical等形成对立。本回答被提问者和网友采纳
