Bing Xin (October 5, 1900 - February 28, 1999), female, formerly Xie Wanying, is a member of the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy (CPDA), a member of Changle City, Fujian Province (now Changle District, Fuzhou).
Chinese poets, modern writers, translators, writers of children's literature, social activists and essayists. The pen name Bingxin comes from "A Bingxin in a Jade Pot".
In August 1919, Bing Xin published his first prose, The Feeling of 21 Hearing Trial, and his first novel, Two Families.
Before and after going abroad to study in 1923, he began to publish communication prose tituted "Sending Little Readers" one after another, which became the foundation work of Chinese children's literature.
Hired by Tokyo University as the first foreign female lecturer in Japan, she taught the course of "Chinese New Literature" and returned to China in 1951.

冰心在刻画人物形象时，大多不用浓墨重彩，也较少精雕细刻，只用素描的笔法，淡淡数笔，人物形象就仿佛那出水的芙蓉，鲜灵灵地浮现在水面上。《六一姐》、《冬儿姑娘》、《小桔灯》分别塑造了三个生活在不同时代的少女形象。

二、人物经历
1900年10月5日冰心出生于福州三坊七巷谢家大宅（今鼓楼区杨桥东路17号） ，该宅院也是林觉民故居，是冰心祖父谢銮恩从林觉民家属购得。祖籍地是长乐横岭乡，现在叫福州市长乐区横岭村。冰心的曾祖父谢以达这一辈进城谋生。次年5月，全家迁至上海。
1903年，因为父亲谢葆璋受命海军训练营营长，同时负责筹办海军学校，随父迁至烟台，在此居住的8年里度过了她幸福而多彩的童年生活。
在烟台，她开始读书，家塾启蒙学习期间，已接触中国古典文学名著，7岁即读过《三国演义》、《水浒》等。与此同时，还读了商务印书馆出版的“说部丛书”，包括英国著名作家狄更斯的《块肉余生述》等十九世纪批判现实主义的作品。
