Alice: the protagonist of the story, a pure and lovely little girl, full of curiosity and thirst for knowledge, embodies the innocence of children in her. In the process of human growth, the innocence of such children is often eroded.
Alice first appeared in the image of wearing a blue dress and blond hair. After that, this image has become one of the most representative classic images of Alice. Her name comes from Alice lidall (also known as Riddell or Liddell), Lewis Carroll's childhood friend, and her first image was created by illustrator Sir John Tanner.
《爱丽丝梦游仙境》（Alice's Adventures in Wonderland，通常简写为Alice in Wonderland）是十九世纪英国作家兼牛津大学基督学院数学教师刘易斯·卡罗尔创作的著名儿童文学作品。1865年出版，续作为1871年出版的《爱丽丝镜中奇遇记》。
《爱丽丝梦游仙境》讲述了一个名叫爱丽丝的英国小女孩为了追逐一只揣着怀表、会说话的兔子而不慎掉入了兔子洞，从而进入了一个神奇的国度并经历了一系列奇幻冒险的故事。
《爱丽丝梦游仙境》是十九世纪最具影响力的荒诞小说之一，中国作家沈从文先生于1928年出版的一部讽刺民国社会的小说《阿丽思中国游记》即模仿了该书的写作技法和风格。
同时《爱丽丝梦游仙境》也对后来的异世界奇幻小说《绿野仙踪》、《纳尼亚传奇》等具有直接启发意义。
