any.....表示“比所有。。。。。都好“，并无法排除被比较者（或者说是主语）本身，比如：He(是classA中的学生）

B。就表示He比classB中的每个学生都好。而He

A.就是个病句了，因为这里包含了主语，he自己不能比自己好，不合逻辑了。
而对于than

other,这句话就对了：He

than

A。这就对了，因为than
any
other
表示“比所有其他的都好“，这就排除了被比较者（主语）本身，按照上面的解释
，说He

B.好像就有问题了，因为class
B并不包含He，没有必要排除he.
区别这两个，主要是看than后面叙述的内容是否包括主语。
