有关audience

the interaction between performers and their audience这里的audience为什么不加S，字典上这样写：（戏剧，音乐会，演讲）观众，【C+sing/pl】,到底是单数还是复数？怎么回事

audience单复数同形，这里应该是复数。 audience是一个集合名词后面跟单复数皆可。当表示整体的时候，就用单数。多数用be动词，后面有词来修饰。比如：The audience was quiet.
当表示动作的时候，由于人是个体，所以动词用复数。The audience are watching the game.

指戏曲、音乐会或演讲等的观众 C+sing/pl+v 指可接单数或复数谓语。The audience was/were clapping for 10 minutes. 所以指观众时用audience即可。

audience是集体名词，看做复数，比如说people也是集体名词，它也不能变成peoples,集体名词就是复数，不需要加s

audience本身是可数名词，所以有单数、复数的形式。具体用法还要看语境。
