than引导的比较状语从句？

这两句话都是比较状语从句，辅导书上说as和than可以看做关系代词，并且than和as引导比较状语从句可以省略与主句相同的成分，剩下比较的成分，那第一句中than后面是省略了it还是就没有it，如果没有it，那第二句than后面为什么有主语Bob？
