你把插入语I believe删除就看得出来啊。
这个是固定结构条件状语从句的一种
祈使句，and/or + 句子
Work hard, and you will pass the exam.
Work hard, or you will fail the exam.
如果用Having a talk with him就只是个动名词，and连接是两个句子。
