我现在正在学习新概念英语第四册16 17 18 19四篇课文,其中有几句需要大家帮我解答下(1)In the organization of industrial life the influence of the factory upon the physiological and mental state of the workers has been completely neglected这句话翻译为,在工业生活的组织中，工厂对工人的生理和精神状态的影响完全被忽视了!!我不知道这里的upon在这里起什么作用???(2)The question became one of whether这句话解释为,现在的问题是! whether一般都是否定形式,在这里放在后面怎么解释???整句话我简直搞不懂!(3)as in riding the bow waves of a ship这句话大概意思可能就是,就像船在翻滚的波涛中航行!我不知道in在这里表示什么???后面接的ing形式

（1）你可以把这句话这么看，前面到life的不变，把upon...提前改为upon the physiological and mentai state of the workers,the influnce of the factory has been completely neglected.upon...相当于一个状语成分吧。
（2）这个也许是一种习惯的表达方式，我也不清楚
（3）这个相当于in the waves，所以要有in，后面接的ing形式就表示正在航行在波涛中。

upon 就相当于on了跟influence连用的一个短语
